Founded in 1977 the university offers our 16 000 students a an intimate educational environment in an area of outstanding natural beauty and cultural heritage in the heart of Sweden. Our 1200 courses and 55 degree programs are taught in the twin cities of Borlänge and Falun as well as around the world thanks to our excellence in online education.
On-campus our students have access to one of Sweden’s largest solar collectors (situated on the Solar Energy building) and in 2014 a new 4500 square meter library building. Our faculty will know who you are and call you by your first name.
Off-campus our students have immediate access to clean air and beautiful nature with forests, lakes and mountains all within 20 minutes of our campuses. This is the place to be if you want to try all manner of winter and summer sports.
The beautiful region of “Dalarna” located about 200 km northwest of Stockholm is considered by many to be a microcosm of Sweden. We have an IKEA (Sweden’s newest and most centrally located) as well as lots of shopping, cafes and restaurants to explore.
