The university is located in the vibrant city of Hamburg and the centre is easily reached by train or by bus. Dammtor train station is on the main campus and is just a 3 minute journey from Hauptbahnhof (Hamburg’s main station). Parking is very limited on campus so driving to the university is not recommended.

The university offers apartment housing to international students Rent, including utility bills, ranges from €540 (£428) to €630 (£499) per month. The university has a list of recommended external accommodation. Most of these properties are managed by charitable or religious organisations.
