College Physics
The basic concepts, theories and essential methods of the course are an important part of students’ scientific accomplishment and play an important role in improving talented people's scientific quality, which cannot be substituted by other courses.This course enables students to grasp the elementary knowledge of mechanics, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, wave and optics and modern physics. It provides a basis for the work they will do after graduation in the fields of technology, management and scientific research.
General Physics
This two-term general physics course includes mechanics, heat, electromagnetics, optics and modern physics. We have stressed those basic concepts and principles that are common to both classical and quantum physics. To deepen understanding of physics knowledge, we have included numerous applications of physics in engineer, technology, biomedical science, and familiar everyday phenomena. We encourage teachers to select teaching materials to be guided by their own interest and circumstances and some topics in relativistic and quantum physics are always included.
Financial Accounting
Conceptual introduction to financial accounting. Emphasis is placed on wealth and income measurement and the preparation and interpretation of conventional financial statements.
Corporate Finance
"This is a first class in Corporate Finance. This class involves the answers to three questions. First is the capital budgeting decision, which is about what long term investments should the firm take on. Second is the financing decision, which is about how can cash be raised for the required investment. Lastly, it examines short term finance and concern net working capital and discusses the way the firm manage its day-to-day cash and financial affairs. At the end of this course, students should be able to think analytically about portfolio selection, corporate decision making and asset pricing. These skills can also be used as personal financial decisions."
Intermediate Accounting
Covers the theoretical structure of financial accounting, required financial statements, revenue recognition, operating assets ,current liabilities, coverage of accounting for investments, non-current liabilities and equities, accounting for income taxes, derivatives, accounting changes, statement of cash flows and earnings per share.

Public Finance and Taxation
The "public finance and tax” is a basic theory course of public economics,which involves the "finance” , "tax study”, "national budget study” and so on different subjects, and it has strong comprehensive and professional.The main aim of this course is to make the students mastering the basic concepts of financial,tax and basic principle, and the public finance, financial expenditure, fiscal revenue and government budget basic theory and basic skills, grasping the commodity tax, income tax, property tax, resource and the behavior of the basic tax of theory and practice, having carried out the laws of the state tax system ability.
University-level Chinese
"University-level Chinese" is a core course for the cultivation of university students, and a most direct way to deepen the students` education in humanities and enhance their skills for writing and expressing themselves. With this purpose in mind, the course will train in a systematic way the students` skills of appreciating Chinese and foreign literary works, and further their level of writing and speaking in Chinese.
Advanced Financial Accounting
The course covers accounting issues that have not been discussed in fundamental and intermediate accounting courses. Main contents include equity method for investments, consolidated financial statements, variable interest entity, inter-company transactions and other complex issues in financial accounting.
Financial Accounting Theory and Policy
This course focus on accounting theory. It starts with basic accounting research method, and follows with basic accounting theory, including accounting information quality, standard setting and regulation. Topics such as earnings management, corporate governance and accounting information, and accounting information and capital market will also be covered.
Financial Management for Nonprofits
Analyzes issues of accounting, finance, and economics in the context of the not-for-profit organization. Stresses understanding financial statements, budget planning and control, cash flow analysis, and long term planning.
Financial management of public organizations
In this core course in financial management, students will learn the fundamentals of budgeting and accounting for public, health, and not-for-profit organizations. Through readings, lectures, real-world case studies, and assignments, students will gain an understanding of how to use financial information in organizational planning, implementation, control, reporting, and analysis. In addition, students will have the chance to develop their spreadsheet skills by using Excel to perform financial calculations and create financial documents.
Financial Statement Analysis
This course is about fundamental analysis using financial statements. We develop and apply technologies for understanding and identifying firm activities that generate shareholder value and for developing valuation benchmarks. The ultimate goal of such analysis is to aid the security valuation and risk analysis exercises. This course is intended to help students establish a good foundation and introduce students the basics of equity and debt analysis techniques. Taking Finance (70-391) before this course is recommended, though not a formal prerequisite.
International Finance and International Financial Management
The detailed topics include: international trade theory ( the law of comparative advantage, factor endowments and the Heckscher-Ohlin theory, economies of scale, imperfect competition, and international trade, international trade and economic growth), international trade policy including trade restrictions, nontariff trade barriers and the new protectionism, economic integration: customs unions and free trade areas; open-economy macroeconomics: adjustment in the balance of payments and domestic stability. We will also discuss. the price adjustment mechanism under a flexible and a fixed exchange rate system, open-economy macroeconomics: adjustment policies, prices and output in an open economy: aggregate demand and aggregate supply, flexible versus fixed exchange rates, the European monetary system, and macroeconomic policy coordination.
Property and Liability Insurance
This course will teach the principles,types of insurance, management and supervision of property and liability insurance.It will train students to analyze and solve the problems of theory and practice in the field of property and liability insurance.
