Your TOEFL score on the paper and pencil test must be at least 560 or at least 87 on the internet-based test. These scores represent the minimum required for applicants to graduate programs at UCLA. For the internet-based TOEFL (TOEFL iBT), the following are the expected scores for each section: Writing: 25 Speaking: 24 Reading: 21 Listening: 17
Your IELTS overall band score should be at least 7.0. 7.0 is the minimum required.

UCLA requires that students take a standardized test for admission―either the Law School Admission Test (LSAT) or the Graduate Records Exam (GRE). The LSAT must be taken by January 2020 and the GRE must be taken by January 15, 2020 for students applying to the regular JD program. Applicants to the Early Decision or Distinguished Scholars Programs must take the LSAT by September 2019 and the GRE no later than September 15, 2019. Applicants to the Achievement Fellowship must take the LSAT by November 2019 and the GRE no later than November 15, 2019. Though we anticipate that most applicants will continue to apply with an LSAT score, UCLA Law does not have a preference in the admissions process for one test over another and will evaluate all applications holistically regardless of the test taken.
