Each Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences (WCGS) PhD student receives a generous annual stipend intended to support basic living expenses; the stipend is $48,600 ($37,500 for our Houston Methodist Hospital cohort due to cost of living differential) for the 2023-2024 academic year. Each student accepted to the PhD degree-granting programs is awarded a full-tuition scholarship, which includes all tuition, fees and health insurance.

The TOEFL score must be dated within two years of your program's application deadline. Photocopies of TOEFL score reports will not be accepted. Take the TOEFL early enough to have the results submitted at the time of your application. Exam dates are posted on the TOEFL web site. Applicants must take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) Aptitude (Verbal, Quantitative and Analytical) Test. The program encourages - but does not require - applicants to take the GRE Advanced Test in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or cell and molecular biology.
