In Denmark, PhD programmes are subject to fees. As well as applying for enrolment in the PhD School, prospective students also have to find their own funding – a PhD scholarship – in order to be appointed as a PhD scholar.
You are always welcome to include documentation that you believe supports your application, but it is only mandatory to include documentation of language skills if specifically required in the advertisement. However, you will need a high level of command of both oral and written academic English to complete a PhD. Therefore, language skills will be a factor in the overall assessment of the applicant’s qualifications.
