Regardless of your undergraduate major, we would like to see evidence of quantitative proficiency such as success in undergraduate-level economics, statistics, or calculus courses.
Work experience preferred, but not required. Incoming MPP students typically have 2-3 years of professional work experience.

If you are applying to the MPP Program, we require that you meet the following test scores: TOEFL iBT: a minimum of 25 on each section TOEFL PBT: a minimum of 58 on the reading, 59 on the listening, and 61 on the writing sections
If you are applying to the MPP Program, we require that you meet the following test scores: IELTS: a minimum of 7 on each section

If you are applying to our MPP, MPA/ID, MPA, or MC/MPA programs, you will need to submit either your official Graduate Record Exam (GRE) or Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) test scores—even if you have an advanced degree. Your scores must be less than five years old by the time you submit your application.
HKS only reviews the general test, and does not accept or require GRE subject test scores.
