TOEFL and English Proficiency Exam: If you received your baccalaureate (undergraduate) degree from an institution where English is not the sole official language of instruction you must submit official scores from an accepted English proficiency exam. We accept the TOEFL and the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). The English proficiency exam is required regardless of where you received a graduate degree (if any). Minimum score requirement: 100 internet based (IBT) 600 paper-base exam (PBT)

Applicants must submit the results of the GRE Aptitude tests taken no more than five years prior to the date of the application. Unless English is not the applicant’s first language, scores on the Verbal and Quantitative tests and the Advanced Test of less than 163 will make acceptance less likely. On test retakes, the Admissions Committee will consider the higher scores. Applicants are urged to take the GRE no later than November.
