To be admitted to the UF Graduate School, non-exempt (see English Testing Exemptions section below) non-US and Puerto Rican applicants must meet the required minimum on the verbal portion of the GRE, plus one of these English language tests: IELTS (International English Language Testing System): 6. MELAB (Michigan English Language Assessment Battery): 77. TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language – Internet-Based): 80. TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language – Paper-Based): 550. Verbal GRE: 140 for test dates on or after August 1, 2011; 320 for tests taken before August 1, 2011.

There is no strict minimum required score for the verbal and quantitative portions of the GRE. Admitted students have an average GRE score of 315. If you took the GRE before August1, 2011, please use ETS's GRE concordance tables (link is external) to convert your score to the new scoring system. GRE Analytical Writing Score of 3.5
