Fully funded Ph.D. Research Assistant positions are available in the experimental research of materials (metals or ceramics) or advanced manufacturing (including laser processing), starting in Fall 2026 or Spring 2027.

OUR RESEARCH ENVIRONMENT
Students will join an active, interdisciplinary, and collaborative research group in the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering at UNL.
We collaborate with: U.S. National Laboratories, Industrial Partners, Leading Universities Worldwide.
Students have access to world-class materials processing, characterization, and testing facilities through both the Cui Research Group and the Nebraska Center for Materials and Nanoscience (NCMN).
