Your role
We are seeking a highly motivated Doctoral researcher to develop a generalized green house gas (GHG) model across all sectors to be integrated with the versatile sector coupled energy model, UCB-SEnMod. This spatial and time resolved combined model will enable a holistic view of direct and indirect GHG emissions, whilst considering possible renewable energy integrations.
Key responsibilities:
Establish requirements, architect, design and code a GHG module to be integrated with the UCB-SEnMod
Extract from literature all necessary workflows to be modelled and data that is needed
Use the combined model to design scenarios which would reduce GHG emissions
Maintain clear documentation and version control for models and results
Prepare the module to be used open source
Data analysis, figure preparation, manuscript and report drafting and presentation of results at international conferences
Engage in collaboration with internal partners - Luxembourg Centre for Socio-Environmental Systems and external partners such the Trier University of Applied Sciences
