About
The rule of law is an essential safeguard for the functioning of our democracies, the protection of individual rights and for the prosperity of our economies. Yet, despite its foundational value, it has recently come under attack in the European Union. Migration constitutes one of the many faces of rule of law challenges in the EU which, at a crucial moment for the implementation of the New Pact on Migration and Asylum, raises many questions.
This summer school will offer a thorough understanding of the link between the rule of law and migration in the EU legal order, an overview of the new applicable EU rules on migration and an opportunity to reflect on new legal and policy developments in the European Union.
Renowned experts and scholars look forward to sharing their expertise with students, practitioners, journalists, and policy-makers who wish to participate in the summer school, gain more knowledge on highly topical and societally relevant issues of EU law, and discuss their practical implications.
